9月14日（金）の5・6校時（5校時は進学コース、6校時は進学選抜・特進S・一貫コース対象（すべて1学年））にベネッセの方をお招きし、進路ガイダンスを行いました。

進路選択の方法について真剣に話を聞いている姿が印象的でした。

１年生は今後文理選択があります。生徒一人一人にとって最適な進路選択のサポートをしていきたいと考えています。

今日から、2学期です。久しぶりのクラスメイトと会うと、みんな元気でした。部活で、真っ黒になったり、進路で毎日学校に来ていた3年生。マスク越しですけど、話が盛り上がりました。

新学期の始業式は、コロナ対策のため、オンラインでの対応となりました。各クラスで、校長先生の講話を拝聴しました。

A practical language program in which both dialogue and commentary are all in English. The goal is to exchange opinions in English, and it is also recommended for adults who want to improve their speaking skills.

As you have lots of free time and its too hot to go outside, why not challenge yourself to 15 mins English everyday?

The first lesson was an exciting warm up for the students.  The purpose of the activity was to pass on a message in a clear voice.  After that, the students completed their storytelling and artwork.  In the afternoon, the students exhibited their work for everyone to judge their top three.  It was wonderful to see the effort and dedication each student put into creating their exhibit based on the information the learned about Indigenous Australian people and their culture.

最初のレッスンは、 生徒たちにとってエキサイティングなウォームアップでした。 活動の目的は、 はっきりとした声でメッセージを伝えることでした。 その後、 生徒たちはストーリーテリングとアートワークを完成させました。 午後は、生徒たちが作品を発表し、上位 3 名を全員で審査しました。 オーストラリア先住民とその文化について学んだ情報に基づいて、 各学生が展示を作成するために費やした努力と献身を見るのは素晴 らしいことでした。

Day 2
In the first lesson, students were able to communicate with a special guest online from Australia.  The guest was a former student of Mr. Howes's in Australia and is a proud member of the Kuku Yalanji people of Far North Queensland.  This was a very fortunate and valuable experience for the students to learn a lot from him.  After that, the students started preparing for their final activity on Day 3.  Students will use what they learned about Indigenous culture and art and create their own story and artwork.  So, they researched and created drafts of their stories and artwork in the afternoon of Day 2.  It was another busy day, but the students enjoyed it a lot.

1時間目では、 生徒たちはオーストラリアからの特別なゲストとリモートでコミュ ニケーションを取ることができました。 ゲストはハウズ先生の元生徒で、ファー ノース クイーンズランドのクク ヤランジ族の一員です。 生徒たちにとって、彼から多くのことを学ぶことができた、 とても幸運で貴重な経験でした。 その後、生徒たちは 3 日目の最終アクティブティーの準備を始めました。生徒たちは、 先住民族の文化や芸術について学んだことを利用して、 独自の物語や芸術作品を作成します。 そのため、彼らは 2 日目の午後に、 ストーリーとアートワークの調査と下書きを作成しました。 この日も忙しい一日でしたが、 生徒たちは大いに楽しんでいました。
